Wow, this looks fantastic. I am still learning how to work in Flash. I love how well you've made all the details of the factory manufacturing wires. Those little cute characters relate with the theme as well, it's impressive!

Don't give up on flash!
If you are looking for really classy tutorial books there is only one thing I can recommend.
Go find the work of Adam Phillips. He is a real genius in flash. Look at some of his work. ("Waterlollies" especially) (www.youtube.com/watch?v=pCxPEB…
Than jump here:
bitey.com/2009/03/bca-flash-2/
Adam wrote 4 really good books about work in flash. Two of them you can get for free. The other two cost almost nothing.
If you like the first two support the artist and improve at your work.
You would not regret it.

I understand that your client loves dinosaurs and stuff... but... wow, that got confusing really fast! The art style and animation is really cute and well done, but as a whole, the thing came out non-sequitur. We went from dinosaurs, to digging out copper in a mine that's never related to the "meteor" in any way, to a little wire men factory that produces on demand wire, and a phone call that's not explained well in-context, to them impersonating humans to install lightbulbs? I also can completely relate to your time crunch, being an animator myself, but context and transitional followthrough in the story should be the top priority right? As a potential client or something watching this, I'd be confused what the company was trying to get across! :XD: You've obviously got amazing artistic and technical abillity, but now you should probably focus on efficient storytelling.  :meow:

(Unless of course your production manager was doing all the storytelling, then you get a free pass for having to take orders.) :XD:

Good job overall! It's just... really confusing. XD

You obviously described the whole plot. XD

Now Rewind :)
Look closely at the meteorite to see how it is actually related.

Love your snow dragon by the way.
You can take a look at mine sand Dinosaur if you are also in to that sort of art.

There're copper bits in it, but the fact we don't know they're copper bits yet cause the human eye to overlook them. (At least, I was focused on the impending meteor earth thing rather than what was IN the meteor.) You have to be watching it closely and multiple times to get the corellation! Clients probably only want to watch it once and get it the first time. :XD: A sparkle / close up shot of the copper inside or something to draw the eye to what's IN the meteor would've made that way more cohesive.

Awesome sand dinosaur by the way! I bet that took you a while! I just mess around in the snow from time to time, but nothing hour intensive like that. @_@
Your dinosaur kind of looks like that 2000 movie main character dinosaur. Great work. ^-^

I thought berov did okay with showing the stuff in the meteor (at least, I noticed it easy. I guess it caught my attention because I hadn't heard of there being anything special in it). But, I'm not exactly sure what everything means. When I watched it, it went kind'a like, "the beginning of time? That's not exactly the beginning of time. Maybe the meteor's like the beginning of time for humans? Though, I don't think people were around until awhile after that. Oh look, I see gold looking spots in that meteor! Is there gold in it?! I wonder what that'll mean. Looks like digging, like Paleontology? Is a present-day person digging for dinosaur bones? Did the person find the meteor and the gold stuff in it? Huh, I thought the art would've been more realistic after the dinosaurs. These guys look more cartoonish and they're not people. Oh look, one of them found a gold-ish nugget, that must be from the meteor. What're they doing with it? They're melting them? What's this they're making? A big tool? Candy? What are these guys anyhow? Huh, a big spool thing. (reads label) I wonder what that is, I don't remember hearing the name before, is it something unique to their world? Heh, taking a boat that short a distance to deliver it. I wonder if there could've been an easier way... not many ways to go over water, though. Maybe if it went by plane? Oh look, the map, and a phone. Maybe there'll be a person here? Oh look, talking, their voices are kind'a neat. ...A big fake-person? Hm, it seems kind'a like a waste to make something that big, and then it end up being for someone so much bigger than them (but at the same time, I feel a piece of the puzzle is fitting in place). Are all people just robots being driven by little guys? I wonder if that guy answering the door will notice this guy is off. What's the fake-person's skin made of? If it's plastic, it would be pretty noticeable. If it's like skin then I wonder how they made that material. What is he doing with the wall? The driving controls for that machine (fake-person) is neat. ...A lightbulb? What exactly's happening? Are they electricians or something? The handshake control thing is kind'a neat. Hm, what was this supposed to say? That this company pays really close attention to details and is hard working?"
